Trane Technologies acquires Gradius

Trane Technologies has acquired the Gradius Business of Equans NV, a longstanding dealer of Thermo King and Frigoblock in Belgium and Luxembourg. The acquisition became effective on June 1, 2025.

Gradius, formerly known as Axima, has represented Thermo King in the region since 1999 and has operated under French multinational Equans since 2021. The company has provided sales, installation, and after-sales service of refrigeration units and accessories, as well as maintenance contracts and telematics solutions.

With the acquisition, Gradius joins the Thermo King business of Trane Technologies in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. It will operate as a company-owned dealership under the name Thermo King BELUX. The team will continue to serve the Belgian and Luxembourg markets from both existing and new locations.

“We are pleased to officially welcome the Gradius team,” said Claudio Zanframundo, president of Thermo King EMEA. “We look forward to working closely with the team as we position the business to deliver industry-leading service and innovation to customers and partners – and transform transport refrigeration in Belgium and Luxembourg.”
