va-Q-tec supports Corona research by cooperation with BINDER

In addition to worldwide life saving pharma logistics of Corona test kits, va-Q-tec also supports the German manufacturer of laboratory equipment BINDER with its unique vacuum insulation panels (VIPs), whose devices are considered essential for corona research. Thus, va-Q-tec actively contributes to the fight against the virus on this front as well. 

va-Q-tec's cooperation with BINDER has been existing for many years. However, the system relevance of the cooperation becomes particularly clear in times of corona crisis: In order to find an effective vaccine or antidote against the virus, it has to be reproduced synthetically. A research team at the University of Berne (Switzerland) achieved a breakthrough in the artificial reproduction of the virus by using BINDER refrigerators. These laboratory devices ensure temperatures of less than -86 °C permanently and reliably. The serelaible temperature maintenance properties can only be ensured by using va-Q-tec's vacuum insulation panels (VIPs). With insulation ten times better than conventional insulation materials, they enable the production of freezers with thinner sides. As a result, the internal volume of the device is larger and allows more samples to be placed in it.
