Walter Roller welcomes 155 vocational students from the BSZ Leonberg
After a two-year break due to the pandemic, Roller was finally able to welcome trainee mechatronics technicians for refrigeration technology again. In mid-January 2023, 155 trainees from 7 classes at the BSZ Leonberg vocational school visited Roller in Gerlingen.

Many of the trainees who are already in their second year have already installed air coolers, heat exchangers and air conditioning units at customers. The aim of this invitation from Roller is to give the prospective refrigeration mechatronics technicians a look behind the scenes of a producer and to show them how evaporators are built, what know-how goes into these devices and to give them practical knowledge for assembly.

Even if Walter Roller does not offer any training as a mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology, Roller is committed to presenting this attractive profession in all its diversity to young people. In this way, Roller would like to make its contribution to the targeted qualification of prospective specialists. And that for more than 30 years.

And so this year's lecture series also offered a special highlight: a reunion with the vocational school teacher Frank Hons. As a prospective refrigeration system engineer, he himself took part in the training course at Roller in 1994 as a vocational student at the BSZ Leonberg.
