Wolseley Appoints Patrick Berard as New CEO

Wolseley has announced the appointment of Patrick Berard as its new Chief Executive Officer. Berard, formerly Group CEO of Rexel, brings over two decades of international leadership experience in the industry. He will work with Wolseley’s executive team to guide the company through its next phase of growth.

Current CEO Simon Gray will step down at the end of the month following two years in the role and five years as CFO. During his tenure, Gray led the company through key developments and helped position Wolseley as an independent and stable business prepared for future expansion.

Bruno Deschamps, Chairman of the Board, said, “Patrick brings a strong track record of strategic execution and innovation, and we are confident he will lead Wolseley into its next phase of growth with clarity, energy and purpose.”

Patrick Berard stated, “As the company looks to the future and seeks to capture the many opportunities new technologies and the energy transition offer us... we will continue to put [our customers] and their needs first, so that we not only grow our business but their businesses too.”

Simon Gray will remain involved during the transition period to ensure a smooth handover.
