Advansor upgrades CuBig II system with higher capacity and efficiency

Advansor has introduced an enhanced version of its CuBig II CO₂ refrigeration system, offering increased medium-temperature (MT) capacity, greater heat recovery, and improved performance for low-temperature (LT) applications.

The upgraded CuBig II now delivers up to 570 kW MT cooling capacity, up from 400 kW, and up to 850 kW of heat recovery, previously 650 kW. According to the company, LT performance has also been optimized to reduce the decline in cooling capacity during simultaneous MT and LT operation.

The system is designed for small and medium-sized industrial applications, as well as large supermarkets and hypermarkets. Despite its increased capacity, the unit maintains a compact footprint with a width of 800 mm and length starting from 3,420 mm. It supports up to 12 MT compressors and 6 LT compressors, with a total receiver volume of up to 976 liters.

Standard equipment includes a patented internal heat exchanger in the receiver, hot gas dump, liquid line injection, and CO₂ low-level switch. Energy efficiency options include permanent magnet motors, parallel compression, ejector technology, and Advansor's COP Hunter. The system also offers heat recovery, chiller modules, and an optional heat pump evaporator function.

Designed for flexibility and ease of installation, CuBig II is CE marked in accordance with EU directive PED 2014/68/EU and comes factory-tested for fast commissioning. The unit supports controllers from Danfoss, Wurm, Carel, and Eckelmann.

The company states: “CuBig II can combine cooling, freezing, air-con and heating in one,” and describes it as suitable for applications ranging from supermarkets to cold storage and distribution centers.
