Airedale by Modine has introduced the Barkell Modular air handling unit (AHU), a scalable, pre-configured solution designed for commercial and industrial clients in the UK. The unit is available in nine pre-selected sizes and offers capacities of up to 6.5 m³/s.
The Barkell Modular AHU prioritizes reduced lead times, sustainability, and flexibility. It features pre-wired controls to simplify installation and ISO EN 16890 filters to support indoor air quality by capturing fine particulate matter. Its low-noise design addresses application-specific acoustic requirements.
The unit includes EC fans as standard to lower energy consumption compared to AC fan systems and provides heat recovery of up to 90%. CIBSE TM65 embodied carbon calculations are available on request.

The system supports a variety of configurations, including multiple coil, filter, and heat recovery combinations, for a broad range of commercial and industrial use cases.
