Carrier has introduced the AquaSnap 30MPQ Water-Source Heat Pump, a modular system designed for retrofit, replacement, or new construction applications. The new unit can be configured in multi-unit installations of up to eight modules, expanding nominal heating capacity to a maximum of 8,800 MBH.
Available in eight model sizes, the 30MPQ offers nominal heating capacities from 283 to 1,100 MBH per unit. It features SmartVu controls and operates with R-32 refrigerant, selected for its balance of environmental impact, energy efficiency, and availability.
The 30MPQ is offered in both condenserless and water-cooled configurations. Its compact footprint allows it to fit through standard doorways, facilitating installation in space-constrained locations. The units deliver leaving condenser water temperatures up to 140°F (60°C) and are controlled to maintain a hot water setpoint when heating is prioritized.
“The modularity of the 30MPQ Water-Source Heat Pump helps it cover a wide range of applications, and its small footprint makes it ideal for retrofit and replacement,” said Frank Silva, Senior Manager, Chiller Product Marketing at Carrier. “Carrier is constantly updating our product lines, continually innovating and listening to the needs of our customers. The 30MPQ is the latest such product, combining ease of installation with efficiency at true operating conditions.”
