Carrier Launches Two New Flagship Products for Home Comfort

Carrier, the company that invented modern air conditioning, recently launched two new flagship products, both with Greenspeed Intelligence – the Carrier Infinity 26 air conditioner and the Carrier Infinity 24 heat pump, which offers both heating and cooling capabilities. Available just in time for cooling season, the Infinity 26 and Infinity 24 offer numerous innovations, including enhanced energy efficiency and segment-leading quiet operation.

These new products offer outstanding energy efficiency for long-term savings on heating and cooling costs plus efficiency-based rebates where available. For most applications, the Infinity 26 offers the highest energy efficiency ratings for all ducted systems available for purchase today, with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) up to 26.0 and an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) up to 16.5. Similarly, the Infinity 24 heat pump offers highest-in-class energy efficiency ratings, with up to a 24.0 SEER rating, 15.0 EER and Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF) up to 13.0. What this means for the average homeowner is that when compared to a standard efficiency air conditioner, the Infinity 26 3-ton model can save up to $129 a year in cooling. And, when compared to a standard efficiency heat pump, the Infinity 24 3-ton model can save up to $108 a year in cooling and up to $198 a year in heating.

All Infinity series air conditioners and heat pumps include the exclusive Silencer System II feature to quietly heat and cool the home. These new products fine-tune performance as conditions change, resulting in sound levels as low as 51 decibels. That’s quieter than a normal conversation.

Greenspeed Intelligence is like having cruise control for comfort – it provides steady, consistent temperature and can remove up to 400% more moisture than standard systems. Higher humidity can affect your comfort by reducing your body’s natural ability to cool itself. Removing additional indoor humidity can make your home feel cooler and potentially allow you to increase your thermostat setting, resulting in additional energy savings. Plus, these new products continue to offer outstanding performance in extreme temperatures. Both the Infinity 26 and 24 are able to operate at full power with outside temperatures up to 125 degrees F and the Infinity 24 also offers heating operation down to minus 15 degrees F.

“We’re proud to introduce the Infinity 26 and Infinity 24 with Greenspeed Intelligence as this is one of our most ambitious projects to date,” said Justin Keppy, president, HVAC-Residential, Carrier. “These products provide industry-leading innovations and we’re confident that homeowners will appreciate the enhanced features and benefits.”

In addition, for a limited time an Infinity air purifier will be included with the purchase of every Infinity 26 and 24. The Infinity air purifier works silently with the HVAC system and can improve indoor air quality. It uses Captures & Kills technology to trap up to 95% of particles such as pollen, animal dander, bacteria and other pollutants, then uses an electrical charge to kill or inactivate up to 99% of germs and viruses trapped on the filter.
