Carrier Transicold launched two new refrigeration units Xarios 8 and Neos HE 100 S

Carrier Transicold announced the launch of two new refrigeration units for light and medium-duty commercial vehicles in Germany and Austria.

Expanding upon the existing Xarios range, which includes direct-drive refrigeration units with cooling capacities ranging from 1,500 to 5,500 W, the Xarios 8 unit marks the new top-of-the-range model, with up to 8,000 W of cooling power. With a new design and numerous improvements, Carrier Transicold increased efficiency and cooling capacity for the Xarios while significantly improving sustainability and maintenance costs. Individual measures include, a new injection-molded housing, which simplifies the production process and increases the product robustness. Optimizations of the evaporator, fan motor and condenser also reduce parts wear and tear and required refrigerant filling.

With the Neos series, Carrier Transicold demonstrates its expertise in all-electric commercial vehicle refrigeration solutions – both with conventional drives and electric vehicles. Thanks to an optimized energy consumption, the new Neos HE 100 S (High Efficiency) cooling unit meets the increasingly stringent requirements of the automotive industry as well as increased environmental regulations in urban delivery traffic. Compared to the standard Neos 100 S model, the energy consumption is around 25% lower, but the cooling capacity still allows the same cooling applications in delivery vans with a loading volume of up to 6 m3.

The new Xarios 8 refrigeration unit is now available in Germany and Austria. Deliveries for the new Carrier Neos HE 100 S units in Germany and Austria are expected to begin in January 2021.

The Xarios and Neos electric transport refrigeration units support Carrier’s Healthy, Safe, Sustainable Cold Chain Program to preserve and protect the supply of food, medicine and vaccines.
