Daikin Europe will launch its X Series mixed heat pump system across Europe in phases from September 2026. Designed for new-build and fully renovated homes up to 150 m² (approximately 1,615 ft²), the system combines air-to-air heating and cooling, hydraulic heating and domestic hot water production.
The X Series uses one outdoor unit with five connections, integrating the functions of a multi air-to-air heat pump and a Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pump. Up to four air-to-air indoor units can provide heating and cooling, with wall-mounted, floor-standing, concealed ceiling and cassette models available.
A Daikin Altherma hydraulic indoor unit can connect to underfloor heating circuits, radiators and a domestic hot water tank. Tank capacities are 180 litres (approximately 48 US gal) and 230 litres (approximately 61 US gal). The air-to-air and air-to-water systems can operate simultaneously in the same mode, and installations can be completed in stages.
Efficiency ratings reach A+++ for air-to-air cooling, A+++ for air-to-water heating at 35°C (95°F), A+ for air-to-water heating at 55°C (131°F), and A+ for domestic hot water. The system uses R-32 refrigerant.
The X Series is compatible with the Daikin Onecta app for remote temperature control, scheduling, domestic hot water management and energy consumption monitoring for connected air-to-air indoor units. It also supports voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and is covered by Daikin’s Stand By Me platform for product registration, warranty management, service scheduling and technical support. Exact availability and sales dates will vary by country.
