Daikin EWYT-B R32 Heat Pump
11 December 2020

Daikin EWYT-B R32 Heat Pump

The completion of phase ll of the EWYT-B R32 Heat Pump will expand on the range in the Double V Coil layout with dual refrigerant circuit.

Heat pumps are becoming more and more relevant in the market as they generate far fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional heating options. This because heat pumps do not burn fossil fuel. This means that they are a competitive option to reduce a buildings energy consumption and to comply with European directives and regulations. With the additional benefit of R-32 refrigerant, Daikin EWYT-B heat pumps are an even more attractive choice to reduce your carbon footprint.

EWYT-B- specs
  • Range extension up to 650 kW
  • BRINE OPTION (operation down to -13°C in cooling mode)
  • HIGH AMBIENT KIT (operation up to 52°C ambient in cooling mode for high eff. Models)
  • Extended operational envelope for both cooling and heating applications
  • Full load efficiency now up to 3.52 COP (at nominal conditions)
  • SEER up to 4,92
  • SCOP up to 4,06
Daikin was the first in the market to launch R-32 refrigerant in split air conditioners (2012) and in air-cooled chillers (2018).

By using R-32 refrigerant, Daikin offers the market with a product that will help to reduce the use of fossil fuels and older, less sustainable refrigerants. The EWYT-B– offers an opportunity to reduce the environmental footprint of heating & cooling systems in a wide range of applications, with a heating & cooling capacity from 75 to 650 kW.

With heating & cooling capacities from 75 to 650 kW, the Daikin EWYT-B- can meet the needs of many different applications:
  • residential buildings
  • hotels
  • hospitals
  • offices
  • industrial plants
Daikin EWYT-B- can operate, in cooling mode, in ambient temperatures up to 52° C and can produce hot water up to 60° C in ambient temperatures up to 35° C.

The low environment impact, design flexibility, and highest efficiencies on the market, plus an extensive list of options and accessories, means that the EWYT-B is hard to beat.

The EWYT-B- is fully compatible with the Daikin on Site, which allows:
  • remote monitoring
  • system optimisation
  • preventive maintenance
Also, the EWYT-B heat pump comes with Master/Slave functionality as a standard. This enables management of up to 4 units on the same system without the need for external control devices. For more complex systems, tough, the optional Daikin iCM is the best way to ensure energy optimisation of the HVAC plant.

An extensive list of options
Including:
  • Partial heat recovery for sanitary hot water production
  • VFD pumps and variable flow control
  • High ambient kit (operation above 46 degrees C)
  • Buffer tank
  • Fan silent mode
  • Variable primary flow
  • Master slave as standard
