Lennox EVIO Sets New Standards in Rooftop HVAC Technology

Lennox EMEA, a leader in energy-efficient climate control solutions, proudly announces the launch of its latest-generation air-cooled rooftop unit, the Lennox EVIO. Designed with outstanding versatility, impressive seasonal efficiency, a low carbon footprint, and intuitive control, the new Lennox EVIO represents the pinnacle of modern HVAC technology. This cutting-edge unit promises significant benefits for commercial building operators and occupants alike.

High Performance and Environmental Friendliness The Lennox EVIO is a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and flexible solution that redefines the simplicity and efficiency of rooftop HVAC systems. This innovative air-cooled unit is engineered to deliver years of energy-efficient performance, making it ideal for various commercial buildings, including shopping centres, supermarkets, restaurants, and logistics and storage facilities.

Exceptional Seasonal Efficiency

One of the standout features of the Lennox EVIO is its remarkable seasonal energy efficiency. The unit achieves a seasonal energy efficiency in heating (ɳsH) of up to 168% and in cooling (ɳsC) of up to 207%. These figures far exceed the requirements set by the European Ecodesign Directive, which stipulates a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) of 125% and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of 138%.

Advanced Technology for Superior Performance Several technological advancements contribute to the EVIO's high energy efficiency:
  • Electronic Expansion Valve: Enhances control and efficiency.
  • Multi-Scroll Tandem Compressor: Increases performance and reliability.
  • EC Fan Motor Technology: Optimizes airflow control.
  • Hydrophilic-Treated Coil: Boosts seasonal efficiencies in both cooling and heating modes.
  • The system's use of R32 refrigerant, known for its low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and absence of PFAS, further supports the EVIO's low carbon footprint. This environmentally friendly refrigerant is validated by the internationally recognized PEP ecopassport scheme.

Versatility and Advanced Control

The Lennox EVIO's flexibility in airflow range and thermal capacity makes it suitable for a wide array of building types and applications. Notable improvements include:
  • Airflow Supply: Up to 50,000 m³/h.
  • Operating Limits: Extended from -20°C to +52°C.
  • Thermal and Acoustic Insulation: Enhanced for better performance.
  • A modern user interface provides optimal comfort at the touch of a button. The eCLIMATIC controller offers new options, including a 7-inch multi-unit touchscreen and a web-based Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for easy commissioning, technical assistance, and maintenance support.

Customizable Capacity

Customers can select from a wide range of cooling and heating capacities, from 25 to 250 kW, to suit their specific needs. The Lennox EVIO includes various circuit/battery types based on different combinations of compressors and indoor/outdoor fans, ensuring a tailored solution for every application.
