Danfoss has launched a new range of hygienic gasketed plate heat exchangers designed for processing applications in the food and beverage industry. According to the company, the equipment uses FDA-compliant materials and is intended for processes such as dairy pasteurization, beverage cooling, and brewery heating.
The new frames are modular in design, allowing components to be rotated and used as either head or follower. This design aims to simplify assembly and reduce delivery times.
A frame extender option helps minimize the space required for plate installation, which Danfoss notes is suited for facilities with limited space. This feature also facilitates easier service and maintenance.
Additionally, the exchangers include redesigned brackets to support both floor-mounted and skid-mounted installations, offering more flexibility in setup.
“Our latest enhancements to the hygienic gasketed plate heat exchangers reflect our commitment to flexibility and efficiency,” said Mads Pinnerup, Vice President of Plate Heat Exchangers at Danfoss.
