Danfoss presented new HVACR solutions at AHR Expo 2026

At AHR Expo 2026, Danfoss showcased new products aimed at improving energy efficiency and supporting the adoption of sustainable refrigeration and heating technologies. The product launches addressed key industry challenges, including system efficiency in warm climates, high-performance heat exchange, and sustainable industrial heating.

Danfoss introduced the B3-260C brazed plate heat exchanger, designed for data center applications. With a symmetric plate design and advanced fishbone pattern, the exchanger offered high heat transfer efficiency and low pressure drop. It was optimized for single-phase operation with a parallel-flow configuration and achieved capacities up to 1 MW, with performance suited for very low LMTD (~2 K) applications.

The new Large CO₂ Ejector was presented as one of the highest-capacity solutions of its kind, aimed at industrial refrigeration and heat pump systems. It featured a fixed geometry design, integrated filter and check valve, and a dedicated EKE 80 driver for flexible PLC integration. Rated for 140 bar (2030 PSI), the ejector supported both high-pressure and low-pressure lift configurations, reducing energy consumption even in warm climates.

In the heating segment, Danfoss highlighted the PSG Heating Scroll Compressor, a finalist in the AHR Expo Innovation Awards. Designed for industrial applications below 1 MW, the PSG compressor operated with hydrocarbon and HFO refrigerants to deliver hot water up to 100°C (212°F). It featured a robust scroll design, an integrated oil level switch with temperature sensor, and supported manifold configurations with heating capacities up to 115 kW per compressor.

The Optyma iCO₂ condensing unit completed the lineup. Engineered for transcritical CO₂ systems in low- and medium-temperature applications, the unit incorporated a semi-hermetic inverter BOCK compressor, Danfoss drives and controllers, and a microchannel heat exchanger. Its variable speed operation allowed cooling from 15,000 to 68,000 BTU/h and supported ambient temperatures from -13°F to 115°F. It was designed for scalability and autonomous operation, targeting store upgrades and energy-efficient expansion.
