G&D Chillers has introduced the GDX Series, a new line of chillers designed for data center applications, including hyperscale and AI workloads. The Oregon-based company announced that the systems are equipped with Danfoss Turbocor oil-free magnetic bearing compressors to deliver high efficiency and reliability in mission-critical environments.
The GDX Series includes three configurations: air-cooled (GDX-Air), free-cooling (GDX-Cool), and water-cooled (GDX-Water). The chillers can be customized for specific site conditions and are compatible with multiple refrigerants, including R134a, R1234ze, R513a, and R515b.
Each unit offers a cooling capacity of up to 3,300 kW and includes features such as hybrid or flooded evaporator designs, optional climatic chamber testing, IP54 protection, and high-ambient operation up to 45°C. A compact footprint supports integration into modular and containerized data centers.
“AI workloads are rewriting the playbook on heat management,” said Justin Thomas, President of G&D Chillers. “With the GDX Series, we’re offering a smarter generation of data center cooling systems that save energy, lower carbon impact, and keep operations running—no matter the conditions.”
