Haier launches R32-based MRV7 S VRF system for European market

Haier HVAC Solutions Europe has launched the MRV7 S, a new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system designed to meet the requirements of the EU F-Gas Regulation 573/2024. Operating with low-GWP R32 refrigerant (GWP = 675), the system combines energy efficiency, safety features, and flexible design for commercial and residential applications across Europe.

The MRV7 S system is available in 4, 5, and 6 HP single-fan units, and 8, 10, and 12 HP double-fan units with front discharge. It includes enhanced leak protection, simplified installation, and modular scalability. The system supports pipe lengths up to 400 meters and is compatible with a wide range of indoor units such as wall-mounted, cassette, and ducted types.

Haier’s transition from R410A to R32 in its MRV range is supported by the use of a twin-rotary DC inverter compressor, stepless axial fans, and advanced control technologies. The manufacturer claims an energy efficiency increase of up to 17% with the new design. Additionally, the system’s modular architecture and centralized control compatibility allow for project-specific customisation.

Safety features include built-in leak detectors in all indoor units, visual and audible alarms, and an optional automatic shut-off valve with battery-powered emergency functionality for use during power outages. The system complies with EU Regulation 573/2024 and is engineered for proactive risk management throughout its lifecycle.

The MRV7 S also introduces Space-Link technology, which enables flexible communication network wiring and reduces installation time. Automatic addressing of indoor units, self-cleaning functions, and backward compatibility with R410A indoor units further enhance installation and operational efficiency.

The new controller features a communication protocol upgrade with AVRA-AI for refrigerant management and supports both R32 and R410A indoor units.

Albert Sanchez, European MRV Product Manager at Haier, stated: “The new R32 MRV7 S is set to become an integral part of the Haier HVAC commercial portfolio, integrating intelligent technologies into a future-ready system that meets the needs of installers and future builds. It provides a safe, practical, and efficient solution for various projects and is highly competitive in the market.”
