Hillphoenix, a Dover company, is promoting a suite of CO₂ refrigeration technologies designed to improve energy efficiency and support sustainability in retail applications. The company is targeting a range of store sizes with systems that aim to reduce fossil fuel dependence and optimize performance.
The CO₂ThermaBoost solution is designed for stores of all sizes and is marketed as a high-efficiency heat reclaim system. According to Hillphoenix, it is six times more efficient than electric heating and twice as efficient as air-source heat pumps. When integrated with certain HVAC systems, the technology can triple heat output.
For small to medium-sized stores, Hillphoenix offers Low-Pressure Ejectors. This technology is designed to recover wasted energy, reduce compressor power, and improve overall system performance, with the goal of lowering energy consumption and operating costs.
Parallel Compression is presented as a solution for medium to large stores. It includes a dedicated compressor for handling flash gas, which the company states helps improve efficiency, extend compressor life, and boost system capacity.
Hillphoenix also emphasizes additional support for its CO₂ systems, including a 24-month parts warranty on Advansor Flex Mini, Flex, and Flex Max models. The company claims the shortest lead times and fastest start-up processes in the industry.
