J & E Hall has introduced new 7200 and 8400 series models to its HallScrew open type screw compressor line, significantly extending the range of available capacities. The new models are engineered for high-demand applications in industrial refrigeration, cold storage, process cooling, and marine systems.
The updated HallScrew series supports a broad range of refrigerants, including R717 (ammonia), R507A, R404A, R134a, R1234ze, and HFC/HFO blends such as R513A, R515B, and R454C. This multi-refrigerant compatibility allows system designers to address evolving efficiency and environmental requirements.
Key features of the new models include a wider selection of displacements for improved system matching, a robust and serviceable design, and a high-efficiency capacity control mechanism that reduces power input. The compressors are designed for quiet operation, with low noise and vibration, and can be integrated into both new and retrofit systems.
Available reference capacities at 2980 rpm range from 642 kW to 3379 kW for R717 and from 945 kW to 3379 kW for R507A, depending on the specific model and configuration. Units with economisers and different operating conditions provide additional capacity and power combinations.
According to J & E Hall, the new models are suitable for applications in food and beverage processing, chemical and pharmaceutical plants, logistics cold storage, marine refrigeration, and ice rinks.
