Kelvion Unveils Advanced Hybrid Cooling System
Kelvion has introduced a groundbreaking hybrid cooling system designed to deliver exceptional thermal performance while minimizing environmental impact. This innovative system sets a new standard in the heat rejection industry by offering a perfect balance between water and energy consumption.

The hybrid cooling system bridges the gap between standard adiabatic coolers and cooling towers with two cooling modes: dry and wet. In dry mode, heat is exchanged with ambient air via sensible enthalpy. In wet mode, the system waters the coil and uses both sensible and latent enthalpy through an adiabatic effect, allowing operation at ambient dry bulb temperatures well above process fluid outlet temperatures.

Thanks to its advanced technology, the hybrid system achieves a lower environmental footprint compared to adiabatic systems, while using significantly less water than cooling towers. It can be customized for specific applications, particularly in hot climates, considering climate conditions and water availability. The system is designed to use minimal energy and water.

Key benefits of the hybrid system include:

  • Automatic switch between dry and wet modes
  • Superior water distribution for uniform coil wetting
  • Efficient water recirculation system
  • Special coating for fin protection
  • Ideal balance between water and energy use
  • Auto drain system and advanced water control management
This innovative hybrid system is part of Kelvion’s ‘Rethink Thermal Efficiency’ campaign, which focuses on rethinking heat-generating industrial processes. The campaign aims to highlight how using the right solutions based on climate and resource availability can help reduce and reuse waste heat, enable companies to save on energy costs, and promote sustainability.
