New type of perishable delivery box - Mart Station

Cookpad Co., Ltd. and Hoshizaki Co., Ltd. have jointly developed a new model of the fresh food delivery box "Mart Station" for receiving products from the fresh food EC "Cookpad Mart" developed by Cookpad.

Cookpad Mart is a fresh food EC platform launched by Cookpad in 2018. Local producers, wholesalers in the market, popular specialty stores, and other diverse food producers have set up stores, delivering about 12,000 types of fresh food and daily items to consumers through our own distribution network. Products ordered at Cookpad Mart will be delivered free of charge, starting from one item, to fresh food delivery boxes called "Mart Stations," which are installed in about 1,000 locations in Tokyo and three prefectures, including apartment entrances, convenience stores, and train stations.

Mart Stations are installed in public places and are opened and closed by delivery personnel and multiple users, unlike general household and commercial refrigerators. Special designs are required, such as temperature monitoring and control systems. In addition, since it is not an environment where maintenance personnel can be permanently stationed, high stability is required to prevent defects as much as possible.

About the new Mart Station

The new mart station jointly developed has the following features and benefits.

  • High quality as a refrigerator (cooling performance, energy saving performance)
  • Compatibility of computer parts and systems with existing machines
  • Enhancement of after-sales service such as maintenance and repair, repair support without replacement in principle
  • Smallest installation area compared to conventional models
  • Reduction of production lead time by domestic production
  • Production possible from 1 unit
