Refra launches OASIS water-to-water heat pump and chiller line

Refra has introduced OASIS, a new Standard Line of water-to-water chillers and heat pumps for commercial and industrial buildings. The range is built on a unified platform and includes water-to-water heat pumps and liquid-cooled chillers with the same construction, refrigeration technology and compact design approach.

The line offers cooling capacities of up to 410 kW (approx. 1.40 million BTU/h) and heating capacities of up to 516 kW (approx. 1.76 million BTU/h). Refra said the units are designed for commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, data centers, industrial facilities and district energy applications. The systems use propane (R290) and comply with EU F-Gas regulations and EN378 safety standards.

According to the company, safety is based on the EN378 Class IV ventilated enclosure concept. Refrigerant-containing components are placed inside a dedicated enclosure with monitored ventilation and a refrigerant leak detector, while the enclosure is kept under slight negative pressure. If a leak is detected, the system shuts down non-ATEX components and the ventilation system extracts the gas from the enclosure.

The OASIS range includes the Oasis Solo for small to medium installations and the multi-circuit Oasis Twin, Oasis Tribus and Oasis Quad for higher-capacity and mission-critical applications. The series is also available with inverter technology for variable compressor speed control. Refra said the units use compressors, brazed plate heat exchangers and corrosion-resistant construction, and are designed for fast installation and commissioning.

OASIS units can be supplied either as water-to-water chillers for cooling or as water-to-water heat pumps for heating. In a dual-function configuration, the unit can provide heating and cooling at the same time, with a Siemens Climatix controller used to prioritize output based on operating needs.

Refra said the line will debut at Mostra Convegno 2026, taking place March 24–27 in Milan, Italy.
