Systemair has introduced the Geniox HP DFN air handling unit with an integrated heat pump using R290 refrigerant. The company said the solution is designed to meet upcoming EU requirements on F-gases and growing demand for energy-efficient installations.
The Geniox HP DFN combines ventilation and climate control in one system. It provides fresh air supply, high-efficiency heat recovery and cooling, and can be installed indoors or outdoors.
The unit uses R290, a natural refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential of 0.02. Systemair said the refrigerant is PFAS-free and compliant with upcoming EU F-gas regulations.
The company said the solution is suited to commercial buildings, public venues and retail spaces. It is designed to improve indoor air quality, maintain stable thermal comfort and reduce energy consumption across the building lifecycle.
“The entire unit is delivered ready to operate, eliminating the requirement for specialised personnel to install the heat pump cycle. Customers receive a complete, compact, optimised, and highly energy-efficient package, making it a true plug-and-play solution with a straightforward installation. This is further supported by a robust safety system, ensuring reliable performance across all applications,” said Thieu Avontuur, Geniox Product Manager, Systemair.
