Systemair presenting a new ventilation unit in the SAVE range

Systemair presenting a new ventilation unit in the SAVE range, SAVE VTC 500. VTC 500 is a heat recovery unit designed for ventilated areas up to approximately 400 m2 . Left and right connected models are available.

SAVE VTC 500 is designed for installation on the wall in a laundry room or storeroom.

SAVE VTC 500 is a unit with white painted double skinned panels and comes with an advanced control system. The unit is equipped with a high efficiency counter flow heat exchanger. Energy efficient fans with EC motors as well as low pressure filters reduces the energy consumption and gives low SFP factor (Specific Fan Power) and low sound. The built-in humidity sensor in the extract air can be used for demand control.

All settings and features are available from the SAVE Touch panel that is integrated in the front door. The panel is a color touch screen with a user friendly interface. The option to connect one or more external control panels is available. The control panel has separate user levels for authorized installers and service personnel.

The homepage of the control panel shows information such as airflow, temperature, air quality and active functions. You can select between MANUAL and AUTO mode or choose preferred settings from the pre-configured user modes.
SAVE Touch AUTO mode has many functions available controlling the airflow according to CO2, presence, humidity, schedule etc. The demand function control gives effective and economical operation to ensure best indoor air quality. The unit can ensure precise control of constant supply and extract air volumes (CAV) with the accessory kit that consists of a double-point pressure transmitter, which is mounted directly on the Main Board. No external components are required for the CAV function since the pressure tubes connecting the tapping rings and the transmitter are already installed from factory inside the unit.

Alarm symbols will indicate possible malfunctions and issues direct alerts if anything needs to be rectified.

The unit has an automatic defrosting function that can be set in 3 different modes depending on the indoor environment as well as the outdoor conditions.

Without preheater in tight houses / passive houses where unbalanced airflow is not allowed the unit works down to -5°C. Without preheater when unbalance is allowed the unit works down to -15°C. Below -15°C a preheater is needed.

The VTC 500 can be supplemented with a built in electrical re-heater.

The unit is provided with a connection board that has prewired inputs and outputs for easy installation and setup of external sensors as well as for external heaters / coolers.
The unit is delivered with low pressure panel filters:

  • Supply air filter F7/ePM1 60%
  • Extract air filter M5/ePM10 50%

Pleat filter F8/ePM1 70% for supply air is available as an accessory as well as filter kits.

Main features:

  • High energy-efficient counter flow heat exchanger with EC - technology on fans.
  • Demand ventilation control is standard with the built in humidity sensor
  • CAV availably as built in accessory
  • Built in electrical pre-heater is available as accessory
  • SAVE control with touch display and start-up wizard for easy commissioning
  • Connection board for easy access
  • Modbus communication RS-485 as standard
  • Internet access module as accessory
