Trane Launches GEN Elite C Series VRF in Asia Pacific

Trane Technologies has introduced its new GEN Elite C Series VRF system to the Asia Pacific region. This Cooling Only Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system is now available in India, Thailand, Vietnam, and other emerging markets, offering high efficiency, precise temperature control, stable performance, and flexible design. The system is suitable for a variety of commercial applications, including offices, hospitals, and retail spaces.

The GEN Elite C VRF system emphasizes both energy efficiency and occupant comfort. It features a leading full load COP of 4.87 W/W and a half load COP of 7.35 W/W. High-efficiency DC inverter compressors dynamically adjust output based on real-time demand, ensuring consistent indoor temperatures within a stable range. Advanced inverter technology and unique piping design enable continuous operation and precise temperature control, minimizing fluctuations and enhancing comfort.

Energy-saving capabilities are further enhanced with features like "Output on Demand," which activates compressors only as needed. The system supports a 10-step energy management system, allowing users to fine-tune output capacity from 50% to 100% in 5% increments. This ensures stable operation during electricity supply restrictions while maximizing energy savings.

The system is designed for quiet operation, with outdoor units operating as low as 56dB(A) and indoor units at 24dB(A), creating a quiet and comfortable environment for occupants. Optional health filters and air quality accessories, such as PM2.5 filters and negative ion generators, improve indoor air quality by removing tiny particles.

Engineered for long-term reliability and adaptability, the GEN Elite C VRF system uses advanced refrigerant cooling technology to operate reliably across a temperature range from -5°C to 52°C. It includes 6-stage oil return control technology, ensuring stable performance of both the system and compressor in demanding environments. Enhanced compressor drive reliability is achieved with a refrigerant cooling plate that lowers the IPM temperature by 20°C compared to air cooling.

The double backup function ensures continuous operation, minimizing disruptions even if one unit or compressor fails. An emergency operation function maintains system continuity, allowing for maintenance work on faulty indoor units without affecting overall operation.

The system's compact and modular design minimizes installation space. With seven basic ODU modules, it can support up to four modules combined in one system, catering to capacity requirements of up to 220kW. The pipeline expansion function supports a total pipeline length of up to 1,000 meters and an installation height difference of up to 110 meters between indoor and outdoor units. This flexibility accommodates various complex building designs and long-term part-load operation scenarios, reducing installation costs.

Installation is simplified with the system's auto-addressing function, which automatically identifies and allocates accurate addresses to connected devices, supporting up to 64 indoor units in one system.
