Williams’ new Amber HA135

Williams has announced that the latest version of its Amber HA135 undercounter refrigerated cabinet has achieved an A+ energy rating.

The Amber HA135 incorporates several energy-saving features, including a hydrocarbon refrigerant, high-density insulation, and a high-performance refrigeration system. The unit is designed for compact spaces, measuring 606 mm × 577 mm × 805 mm (23.9 × 22.7 × 31.7 in), and uses a front-venting system for flexible installation in small kitchens.

A key factor in achieving the A+ energy rating is the inclusion of Electronically Commutated (EC) condenser fans. These fans convert Alternating Current (AC) to Direct Current (DC) and allow the unit’s controller to regulate fan speed, improving cooling efficiency while reducing energy consumption and noise compared to conventional AC fans.

The Amber 135 is also available as a freezer version (model LA135), and both models are designed to operate in ambient temperatures up to 32°C. Additional features include adjustable nylon-coated shelving, a lockable door, magnetic gaskets for easy cleaning, and adjustable feet with rear castors for mobility.

“Williams understands that with rising energy costs and the need to reduce emissions more businesses are prioritising energy saving features,” said Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director for Williams. “We’re always looking for ways to improve the performance of our existing product ranges, and the A+ energy rating for the latest version of our Amber cabinets is another demonstration of our commitment to this."
