The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) will host AHRI Talks MENA: Shaping the Future of the HVACR Industry on July 7 at Fairmont The Palm in Dubai, UAE. Presenters will discuss performance standards, testing laboratories and programs intended to support the HVACR industry in the Middle East and North Africa.
The event will include presentations from GCC Lab, described by AHRI as the region’s first independent, third-party testing laboratory for HVACR equipment. AHRI staff and other experts will address high-ambient standards, the AHRI Certified Environmental Product Declarations Program, low-GWP refrigerant research and testing air handling units as they are built.
Burhan Jaber, Vice President of Engineering and R&D at SKM Air Conditioning, will deliver the keynote address. The event will conclude with time for feedback and networking.
The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter and the UNEP OzonAction Compliance Assistance Program are supporting the event. AHRI Talks MENA is part of a global AHRI series addressing issues relevant to its member companies and the wider industry.
“AHRI Talks is an important forum for HVACR and water heating industry stakeholders to connect on the advancements being made in support of MENA’s sustainability goals,” said Nabil Shahin, AHRI MENA Managing Director. “Regional consultants, specifiers, building managers, and engineers are encouraged to join this event to be a part of the conversation that is shaping the future of our industry.”
