Cool Up and Arab Bank Egypt advance sustainable cooling finance

The Cool Up programme has started a collaboration with Arab Bank Egypt to expand financing for energy-efficient, climate-friendly cooling solutions in Egypt.

Together with Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and DFA, the collaboration will focus on developing tailored financial products, building institutional capacity and supporting access to sustainable cooling technologies.

Planned activities include client capacity building, feasibility studies and the development of a dedicated cooling finance portfolio with emissions reporting. Arab Bank Egypt also intends to further integrate sustainable cooling technologies into its existing portfolio, supported by access to international climate funds and ongoing green transformation efforts.

The partners plan to continue discussions on certification, project pipeline development and specific financing opportunities, as well as participate in upcoming training activities.
