Hitema International Showcases Advanced Cooling Solutions at Data Centre World London 2025

Hitema International will participate in Data Centre World London 2025, taking place on March 12-13 at ExCeL London. The company will present its latest innovations in liquid cooling and high-efficiency refrigeration solutions for data centers at Stand DC136.

As demand for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI-driven workloads grows, data centers require efficient and scalable cooling technologies. Hitema International will showcase two key solutions designed to address these challenges: the Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) and a Free Cooling Chiller with Turbocor Compressors.

Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) for Liquid Cooling

Liquid cooling is increasingly necessary for high-density IT environments where traditional air cooling is insufficient. Hitema’s CDU plays a crucial role in liquid cooling systems by efficiently transferring heat from IT equipment to external cooling systems.

Key features of the CDU include:

  • Plate heat exchanger for efficient thermal transfer
  • 663 kW heat exchange capacity under design conditions
  • Fully stainless-steel construction for durability and corrosion resistance
  • VDF pump with 2 bar available pressure for precise flow control
  • Stackable design (up to two units) to optimize data center space

The CDU is compatible with direct-to-chip and dielectric fluid cooling technologies, supporting AI, HPC, and hyperscale data center operations.

Free Cooling Chiller with Turbocor Compressors

Energy efficiency and sustainability are critical priorities for data centers. Hitema’s free cooling chiller, equipped with Turbocor compressors, offers an energy-efficient solution designed for data center applications.

Key features include:

  • Six high-performance fans for enhanced free cooling capability
  • Flooded evaporator for improved heat exchange efficiency
  • R1234ZE refrigerant with low global warming potential (GWP)
  • 320 kW cooling capacity under standard conditions (12/7°C, 35°C ambient)
  • Turbocor compressors with oil-free, variable-speed technology

Turbocor compressors help reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs by eliminating oil-related inefficiencies. Their variable-speed operation allows dynamic cooling output adjustments, ensuring optimal performance even at partial loads - an essential feature for data centers with fluctuating cooling demands.
