Industry players mark World Refrigeration Day 2025 with events and initiatives

Arneg, Frascold, Eliwell, Secop, A-Gas, and Carel marked World Refrigeration Day 2025 with internal campaigns, educational activities, and staff engagement initiatives to highlight the role of refrigeration in society and sustainability.

Arneg celebrates World Refrigeration Day 2025 as an official sponsor, highlighting the importance of refrigeration and the “Cool Skills” that drive industry progress. The company’s commitment to innovation is demonstrated through daily research in its Technology Hub, supporting a sustainable and efficient future for all.

Frascold hosted educational activities at its headquarters, focusing on this year’s theme: “Cool Skills.” Employees explored key topics including low-GWP refrigerants, compressor technologies, and energy savings. The company emphasized its commitment to promoting the refrigeration sector’s strategic role in climate and health.

Eliwell celebrates World Refrigeration Day 2025 with its young talents and expert teams, recognizing their vital role in advancing sustainable and efficient cooling technologies. By innovating in food preservation, Eliwell helps reduce waste and actively supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, making a positive impact every day.

Secop used the day to spotlight energy-efficient and sustainable cooling, sharing a company-wide message reaffirming its dedication to responsible innovation in compressor technologies. The company thanked its global teams for supporting Secop’s efforts in the refrigeration industry.

A-Gas launched a global internal campaign titled “Cool Careers, Cool Contributions,” highlighting employee experiences through videos and interviews. The campaign emphasized the company’s environmental services and recovery of refrigerants, as well as the value of its workforce in driving sustainability.

Carel celebrated by investing in employee training and skills development. The company introduced a range of learning paths and internal campaigns to support professional growth. This included technical education and sustainability awareness programs aligned with the group’s long-term development strategy.

World Refrigeration Day, held annually on June 26, commemorates the birth of refrigeration pioneer William Thomson, Lord Kelvin. The 2025 theme “Cool Skills” focused on the value of expertise and professionalism in ensuring sustainable cooling and heating. The campaign addresses a broad range of professionals—from technicians and engineers to educators, researchers, and innovators—whose work supports safety, comfort, and health worldwide.
