Thermo King to Debut New Telematics and Thawing Technology at IFDA 2025

Thermo King, a brand of Trane Technologies, will present several new transport refrigeration and fleet management technologies at the IFDA Solutions Conference 2025, taking place from September 28 to October 1 in Columbus, Ohio. The company will introduce innovations aimed at improving load protection, fleet uptime and operational efficiency for food distributors.

Key among the new solutions is the TracKing Smart Trailer platform, designed to provide real-time data insights to support proactive maintenance and enhance food safety. The telematics system helps fleet managers reduce load loss and food waste by enabling smarter, data-driven decisions during transport.

Thermo King will also spotlight its lifecycle management tools, which guide fleet owners through every stage of product use—from acquisition to disposal. Conference attendees will be able to explore dashboards and visualization tools that highlight how data insights, dealer support and cost strategies can improve fleet performance.

Additional featured products include:

  • Precedent S-610M – A multi-temperature trailer refrigeration unit built for food distribution.

  • T-1090 Spectrum – A diesel-powered solution for straight truck refrigeration.

  • Klinge Quick Thaw Unit – A high-capacity system capable of thawing up to 22,000 pounds (approx. 10,000 kg) of frozen protein in under 48 hours.

“Our customers deliver the products that feed North America, and our job is to support that mission every mile,” said Chris Tanaka, vice president of product management at Thermo King Americas. “At IFDA, we’re showing what that support looks like for the full lifecycle of the product – before, during and after a fleet is on the move.”
