UNEP OzonAction, in cooperation with the Government of China and the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), held the 2026 Ozone2Climate (O2C) Technology Roadshow and Industry Roundtable from 8 to 10 April 2026 at the Capital International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Beijing, China.
The 15th edition of the O2C Forum marked its role as a global platform for ozone- and climate-friendly technologies in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector. Since 2012, UNEP, FECO/MEE and CRAA had jointly organized the event in China to support national commitments under the Montreal Protocol and the Kigali Amendment to phase out HCFCs and transition to lower-GWP alternatives.
The 2026 programme brought together international, regional and national speakers, including policymakers, industry experts and technology innovators. Discussions covered global policy developments, natural refrigerant applications, cold chain innovation, heat pump efficiency enhancements, and best practices in refrigerant management and servicing.
Held alongside the CRH 2026 Exhibition, the event featured a Technology Roadshow presenting ozone- and climate-friendly equipment and solutions. Exhibits included zero-ODP and lower-GWP technologies, next-generation refrigeration systems, high-efficiency compressors, and energy-efficient innovations. The Industry Roundtable also provided a platform to review progress since the adoption of the Kigali Amendment and explore strategies to accelerate the shift to sustainable cooling technologies worldwide.
