Heatcraft Introduces Dual-Refrigerant Systems for A1 and A2L Compatibility

Heatcraft Introduces Dual-Refrigerant Systems for A1 and A2L Compatibility

Heatcraft has launched a new line of dual-refrigerant systems designed to support both A1 (HFC) and A2L (HFO) refrigerants. This innovation provides customers with the flexibility to continue using familiar refrigerants while preparing for future industry regulations.

The dual-refrigerant approach simplifies inventory management for distributors and ensures compliance with evolving environmental standards. Contractors can transition to A2L refrigerants with minimal modifications, reducing the need for costly system replacements. The design maintains industry-standard installation and service practices while incorporating UL-listed safety features.

Heatcraft’s systems help businesses adapt to the ongoing phasedown of high-GWP refrigerants mandated by global and regional regulations. A2L refrigerants, already widely used in Europe, are gaining traction in the U.S., and Heatcraft’s solution enables a smooth transition.

By offering dual-refrigerant compatibility, Heatcraft aims to provide long-term cost savings and regulatory flexibility for its customers, minimizing disruption as the industry moves toward lower-GWP alternatives.
