MRCOOL has introduced its Monoblock MTHP Series, an all-in-one, wall-mounted heat pump designed to provide heating and cooling without an outdoor condenser or refrigerant-line installation. The system uses a standard 115V plug-in connection and is intended for spaces including garages, home offices, ADUs, apartments, studios and other compact living areas.
The Monoblock MTHP Series houses its primary components in a single indoor unit. Installation requires two exterior wall openings for airflow, with no outdoor equipment pad or refrigerant lines to connect. MRCOOL says the system can be installed without a certified HVAC technician.
The unit provides cooling, heating, dehumidifying and fan modes and uses DC inverter technology to adjust output according to room conditions. It is rated at 15 SEER2 and 9.9 EER2 and operates at ambient temperatures from 5°F to 113°F (approx. -15°C to 45°C). The system uses R-32 refrigerant.
Operating sound levels can be as low as 32 dBA. Features include an LED display, remote control, optional Wi-Fi through the MRCOOL Connect app, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility, self-evaporative condensate management, a condensate-overflow alarm with automatic shutoff and ETL safety certification.
“The Monoblock MTHP Series instantly adds climate control to spaces that are traditionally difficult to condition,” said Christian Rea, Director of MRCOOL Sales. “By eliminating the high cost and hassle associated with an outdoor condenser, we’ve reduced installation time by 60% compared to central systems.”
