The Spanish Association of Air Conditioning Equipment Manufacturers (AFEC) has joined the Spanish Energy Club, ENERCLUB, as an associate company, strengthening its collaboration with one of Spain’s main energy-sector forums. The association said the move reinforces its commitment to decarbonization, electrification of thermal uses and efficient solutions for the energy transition.
Through the membership, AFEC becomes part of a platform bringing together companies, institutions and organizations from Spain’s energy sector. The association plans to increase its participation in the energy ecosystem, promote knowledge exchange and contribute to discussions on the challenges and opportunities associated with the energy transition.
Areas highlighted by AFEC include energy efficiency and renewable energy, energy management through regulation and control, and ventilation with heat recovery to improve energy utilization.
AFEC said heat pump technology is expected to play a leading role as thermal demand becomes increasingly electrified, renewable generation grows and emissions reductions remain a priority. The association also pointed to increasing collaboration between the energy and air-conditioning sectors as part of efforts toward climate neutrality.
