Clivet has introduced SHEEN PRO (WiSAN-PSE1), a new series of reversible air-to-water heat pumps using R290 refrigerant with a global warming potential (GWP) of 3. Designed for commercial buildings, the series is suitable for new installations and the retrofit or replacement of existing heating systems, including boilers.
The SHEEN PRO range is available in four sizes, with heating capacities from 25 to 59 kW (approximately 85,300 to 201,300 BTU/h). The units can produce hot water at temperatures up to 77°C (170.6°F) and maintain water temperatures up to 65°C (149°F) at outdoor temperatures as low as -25°C (-13°F). These operating conditions support the replacement of traditional fossil fuel generators without modifications to existing heat distribution systems.
Each refrigerant circuit contains no more than 5 kg (11 lb) of R290, reducing installation constraints associated with propane under EN 378 safety and installation requirements. The series uses inverter technology for compressors and fans to adjust operation according to building thermal demand, including at partial loads.
According to EN 14825:2022, SHEEN PRO achieves a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of up to 4.71 at W35 and 3.52 at W55, with a seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) of up to 5.10. The series achieves ErP energy efficiency classifications of up to A+++ at W35 and A++ at W55.
Configuration options include integrated pumps, a buffer tank and dedicated accessories. Domestic hot water production can be managed through an integrated three-way valve.
