Danfoss has introduced the D353 gasketed plate heat exchanger, expanding its portfolio with a compact, service-friendly solution for critical cooling applications. The new DN350 unit is designed for data centers, where uptime, heat transfer efficiency, and ease of maintenance are key requirements.
The D353 features a compact frame designed to reduce height and footprint, simplifying installation in space-constrained facilities. Its heat transfer performance has been validated through internal and external testing. The exchanger also supports higher design pressures with the same plate thickness, providing flexibility for demanding operating conditions.
For maintenance, the D353 incorporates the D-Lock gasket fixation system, improved plate alignment, ArcCompact plate suspension, and an internal roller system. These features are designed to simplify plate handling, assembly, maintenance, and resealing. An H-beam carrying bar also supports smooth, compact handling.
In addition to data center cooling, Danfoss identifies AI infrastructure, offshore applications, and geothermal systems as potential applications for the D353. The product is part of the company’s broader data center offering, which includes power management, high-efficiency cooling, and waste heat reuse solutions.
“Critical cooling infrastructure must be designed for performance, uptime, and ease of operation. With the new D353, Danfoss is giving customers a compact, service-friendly heat exchanger solution that helps them meet the growing demands of data centers and other high-performance applications,” said Mads Pinnerup, Vice President, Plate Heat Exchangers, Danfoss.
