CubeCold has acquired Almacenes Frigoríficos San Isidro and Alguazas Frío SA (“Alfrisan and Alguazas”), strengthening its presence in Spain’s Murcia and Alicante regions. The deal adds two cold storage facilities with over 26,000 pallet positions and expands CubeCold’s service reach in key agricultural zones.
Alfrisan and Alguazas have over two decades of experience serving customers in the fruit, fruit concentrate, and vegetable sectors. The acquisition supports CubeCold’s strategy of building an integrated cold chain across Europe and enhances its capabilities in retail-oriented logistics.
According to Paul Jukes, Chief Operating Officer at CubeCold, “The addition of Alfrisan and Alguazas Frío to CubeCold Spain is fully aligned with our European growth strategy. It strengthens our footprint in a key agricultural region and adds strong retail-oriented capabilities to our network.”
CubeCold stated that the acquired companies will retain their existing branding and services, maintaining continuity for current clients.
Jordi Fabregat, Head of Spain at CubeCold, said: “The integration of Alfrisan and Alguazas Frío into CubeCold Spain is a key milestone that significantly strengthens our position in the Levante region. For our organization, it means enhanced capacity and local presence; for the customers of Alfrisan and Alguazas Frío, it opens the door to a broader logistics network, both across Spain and internationally, with access to world-class cold chain solutions and service excellence.”
CubeCold was advised by Pérez-Llorca and Bankinter during the transaction.
