Scottish haulier GSM Transport has enhanced its fleet with four new temperature-controlled trailers equipped with Carrier Transicold's Vector HE 17 units. This addition strengthens GSM Transport's nearly all-Carrier Transicold vehicle lineup, citing superior cooling, reduced noise, and enhanced fuel economy as key benefits of the Vector HE 17.
The 13.6-metre Gray & Adams trailers will deliver dairy across the UK for GSM's work with McQueens Dairies. "Carrier Transicold has been a cornerstone of our operations for nearly 30 years. The new Vector HE 17 units promise even better fuel savings, which is crucial given our daily routes," said Jim Morrison, Owner of GSM Transport.
The Vector HE 17 can achieve up to 30% fuel savings compared to previous models, thanks to its adaptive inverter technology. It also offers a cooling capacity above 16 kW, a 6dB (A) noise reduction, and a weight of just 720kg, making it one of the lightest in its category. With E-Drive technology, it operates efficiently whether connected to grid power at a depot or using alternative power sources on the road.
Andy Barnes, Key Account Manager at Carrier Transicold UK, noted, "The Vector HE 17's reliability and efficiency make it a perfect fit for GSM Transport's demanding schedule. We're thrilled to continue our partnership."
