Constellation Cold Logistics announces the appointment of Thomas Hughes as Managing Director for Constellation Ireland. The announcement follows the recent acquisition of VF Coldstores Limited in Dublin and Colso Coldstorage Limited in Cork, which completed on 20 October 2023.
Formerly Managing Director Ireland for Americold, Thomas brings 25 years of industry experience and has a strong track record in the Irish market. He started his career as a general warehouse operative, and has a deep practical knowledge of warehouse operations, the coldstorage business and the Irish market.
Thomas joins Constellation to lead the Ireland operations. His leadership will facilitate Constellation’s growth plans in Ireland and the integration of VF and Colso. Thomas will work closely alongside Vincent Flanagan at VF and Deirdre Collins at Colso.

Constellation Ireland’s entities VF and Colso will also be rebranded to Constellation Cold Logistics Dublin Limited and Constellation Cold Logistics Cork Limited in the next few weeks. This follows the rebranding of the rest of the Constellation network that completed on 25 September. The rebranding will help bring the Irish entities closer to the rest of Constellation, and allow the company to better share capabilities throughout our network.
