The Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) has announced the departure of CEO Glenn Evans after 17 years in the role. ARC said Evans has guided the organisation through nearly two decades of growth and development.
ARC chair Greg Picker said Evans’ tenure strengthened ARC’s operations, reputation, and contribution to industry and environmental outcomes. Picker also said the organisation was recognised at the Montreal Protocol Meeting in November 2024 as a best-practice example.
Picker said ARC expanded from less than 12,000 licences in 2005 to almost 113,000 current licences in 2025. He said Evans oversaw the introduction of a CRM system that allows hundreds of licences to be issued daily, with 40 per cent processed instantly using an automated renewal process, and that the team now delivers over 9,000 field visits annually.
ARC said its Board will commence a recruitment process to appoint a new CEO. Chief operating officer Susie O’Neill has been appointed acting CEO, and Picker said: “We thank Glenn for his nearly two decades of service.”
