Daikin Europe N.V. initiates second phase of its Certified Partner programme

Following the recent successful launch in Germany, the second part of Daikin’s Stand by Me – Certified Partner programme is set to launch from the beginning of April onwards in the rest of Europe. The second certification will focus on both online and physical training in commissioning, maintenance and repair activities on the new generation of Daikin heat pumps, Daikin Altherma 4, which will operate with R-290 refrigerant.

In the next ten years, the European Union expects a substantial increase in demand for skilled heat pump installers who have been well trained in installation safety. Daikin is aware of the important role that they will play in ensuring the safety and efficiency of heat pump installations.

Earlier in 2023 Daikin unveiled its Stand by Me – Certified Partner programme, which builds on Daikin’s existing training at the Daikin Academy. The programme offers training with a focus on safety and quality of installation, and allows installers to obtain a certified partner label. With this label, installers can assure homeowners that they are highly skilled professionals in heat pump installation.

Patrick Crombez, General Manager Heating and Renewables at Daikin Europe explains: “This extended programme emphasizes the importance of training and safety for Daikin. It has long been part of our ethos and we have been offering training through our 61 Daikin Academy training centres across Europe for many years, putting us at the forefront of safe, high-quality heating installation.”

The complete Stand by Me – Certified Partner programme allows the installer community to manage all of Daikin’s residential heat pump technologies, including the upcoming Daikin Altherma 4 series. It is open for all installers to join. Over 1000 installers have already joined since it started in September 2023.

The second certification involves two online training sessions of 45 minutes each. These sessions cover topics related to the safety, storage, transportation, installation, maintenance, repair, and disposal of Daikin Altherma 4, operating with R-290 refrigerant. Once the online training is completed, installers are encouraged to participate in the follow-up training session, held in person on 2 separate days at one of Daikin's various training centres.
