Daikin Industries has signed an agreement to acquire Anh Nguyen Trading Technical Service, a building systems integrator based in Ho Chi Minh City, through its subsidiary Daikin Air Conditioning Vietnam. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
Vietnam's rapid economic growth is driving increased energy consumption, prompting businesses to seek improved energy efficiency in line with national carbon neutrality goals for 2050. Demand is growing for building management solutions that enable advanced operational control, particularly for HVAC systems, which account for significant energy use in commercial buildings.
Daikin has been expanding its solutions business in Vietnam by complementing HVAC equipment with energy-efficient operations and maintenance services. The acquisition of Anh Nguyen is aimed at strengthening the integration of HVAC systems with building management systems (BMS), enabling Daikin to offer more comprehensive building solutions.
Anh Nguyen brings recognized engineering capabilities in BMS design, installation, and project management, with a customer base that includes major local developers and general contractors, particularly in the factory and hotel sectors.
Daikin plans to leverage Anh Nguyen’s expertise to establish a unified framework for HVAC and building control solutions. The company stated that this integration will help customers improve energy efficiency, comfort, and system reliability while contributing to Vietnam’s energy-saving initiatives.
