Epta's The Unit Hits ADI Index 2024 with Sustainable Design

The Unit, Epta's eco-sustainable refrigerated display cabinet, has been officially added to the ADI Index 2024 by the Association for Industrial Design. Celebrated for its originality, sustainability, and innovative design, The Unit is a standout in the Design for Work category. Initially showcased in Milan from October 30, the display will later move to Rome's Spazio WeGil from November 25.

Serving as a first step towards potential recognition by the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Award, the ADI Index highlights developments in industrial design, emphasizing cultural and economic impact.

The Unit embodies futuristic refrigeration, focusing on sustainability and efficiency. Constructed from cork for insulation, along with glass, sheet metal, and PLA bioplastic, it supports the Design for Disassembly strategy, ensuring ease of maintenance and recyclability.

Epta's nomination for the Compasso d'Oro Award 2026 underscores The Unit's innovative and low environmental impact features. Epta takes pride in this recognition, cementing its role in pushing the boundaries of design to enhance functionality and bring social value to its market technologies.
