Eurovent Middle East has released the second edition of its
Evaporative Cooling Guidebook, coinciding with the upcoming HVACR Next Generation Congress in Riyadh on 28 October 2025.
Originally published in 2021, the guidebook compiles essential information on evaporative cooling and is designed as a concise reference for consultants, developers, building operators, and investors. Developed in collaboration with association members, it focuses on challenges specific to the Middle East, particularly the application of water-based cooling solutions in arid climates. It remains the only region-specific guidebook published by Eurovent to date.
Nerissa Deoraj, Executive Director of Eurovent Middle East, emphasized the importance of such resources in advancing industry knowledge: “Market education, awareness raising and thought leadership have always formed a core value of the Association. Resources such as industry recommendations and guidebooks can address some of the knowledge gaps by providing neutral, technical industry guidance, which ultimately can help support the improvement of technical competence in the industry and region.”
The HVACR Next Generation Congress will also feature the launch of a product certification program for high ambient temperature performance, alongside sessions on refrigerant transition, decarbonisation, indoor air quality, and total cost of ownership. Participation is free, with registration available on the Eurovent Middle East Industry Congress page.
