FläktGroup has announced a manufacturing expansion in India through Project GAGAN, a new production facility in Pune, Maharashtra, aimed at supporting demand from data centre and industrial sectors.
The company said the investment totals €5.7 million [approx. US$6.2 million]. The facility includes a 13,826 square metre shop floor (approx. 148,822 sq ft), with more than 12,000 square metres (approx. 129,167 sq ft) dedicated to production, alongside offices, engineering and support functions.
Once fully ramped up, the plant will have capacity to manufacture up to 6,500 units annually. Products listed for the site include Air Handling Units, Fan Wall Units, CRAH and CRAC units, Coolant Distribution Units, and heating and cooling coils.
FläktGroup said the facility will serve domestic and international markets, including India, Asia and South-East Asia. The company selected Pune for its position within India’s data centre and green energy ecosystem, as well as proximity to industrial corridors and ports.
The plant is scheduled to become fully operational by June 2026.
“Project GAGAN is more than a factory investment—it is a strategic capability build that positions FläktGroup for the next phase of growth in India and beyond,” said David Dorney, CEO, FläktGroup. “Pune gives us the right ecosystem, talent access and infrastructure to serve high-growth, technology-driven markets reinforcing our global manufacturing network.”
