IIAR has released its 2021 State of the Industry Report

The International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) has released its 2021 State of the Industry Report, which provides information on important topics in the natural refrigeration industry.

The report summarises data from the IIAR’s annual State of the Industry Report Survey. It examines the use of ammonia as a refrigerant, and includes information on emerging refrigerants in the current market.

It also outlines facts about the uses of ammonia and data related to safety, inspections, incident reporting and violations.

2020–21 IIAR Chairman, Dave Schaefer, says the report is an important resource for decision-makers considering their facilities and operations regarding safety and compliance issues.

“As our world changes and moves toward the natural refrigerants, IIAR is leading the charge with new standards that address best practices for CO2 and hydrocarbon refrigerants,” he says.

The IIAR is also calling for industry to complete the 2021 State of the Industry Report Survey to help collect data about the industry.

The report is available to read here.
