LU-VE Group will stop production at the plants

LU-VE Group announcement

We want to thank you for the consideration and commitment you have shown to LU-VE Group, in this particularly difficult period. We have managed to resist also thanks to your collaboration, for which we are very grateful.

Faced with an event that is unpredictable and indeed unprecedented in the modern era, for several weeks LU-VE Group has been doing everything possible to protect everyone’s health and safety and, at the same time, to safeguard our future, in Italy and in the countries in which we operate. The “LU-VE Crisis Committee”, specially created to manage the emergency, has been hard at work for days. The Committee has taken decisions and implemented extraordinary measures to protect everyone, often in advance of and more stringent than the provisions of the various orders issued by the competent authorities.

With the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 22 March 2020, the Italian Government has ordered the closure, across the whole national territory, of any production activity that is not strictly necessary, crucial, and indispensable to guarantee essential goods and services. Similar measures have been taken by the local governments of Rajasthan and Maharashtra in India.

Due to force majeure, starting from March 26, the LU-VE Group will stop production at the plants of LU-VE Exchangers, TECNAIR and MANIFOLD (Uboldo, Varese), TGD (Travacò Siccomario, Pavia), AIR HEX (Alonte, Vicenza ) and SEST (Limana, Belluno) until April 3, in order to contribute to the common effort to contain the spread of the virus. The SPIROTECH plant in Bhiwadi (Rajasthan, India) and the former Alfa Laval site in Sarole (Maharashtra, India) will also be closed from 23 to 31 March, in compliance with local regulations.

We are waiting for clarification from the competent authorities regarding the possibility of sending and receiving goods from customers and suppliers, starting from March 26. Our customer service and the purchasing/production planning office will contact you as soon as possible to give you all the necessary information.

Production proceeds regularly in the factories of HTS (Novosedly, Czech Rep.), SEST LU-VE Gliwice (Poland), LU-VE AIA Asarum (Sweden), FINCOIL LU-VE Vantaa (Finland), SEST LU-VE (Lipetsk, Russia) and ZYKLUS (Jacksonville, Texas, USA). However, we do not exclude the possibility that, in the coming weeks, the various national authorities will take measures to suspend production.

Our commercial network, both Italian and international, and all branches, commercial and representative offices are operational (via remote working). The purchasing offices will also remain active, both centrally and peripherally.

The measures in place to reduce the spread of the virus will obviously also have effects for you. We intend to reassure you that we will keep you constantly updated on the evolution of the situation. We will share updated forecasts and closure/reopening plans with you in a timely manner, so that you can plan your activities accordingly, for maximum common benefit.

For information, please contact your usual LU-VE Group contacts.

In these dark hours, an inspiring light comes to us from our Chinese colleagues in Tianmen (Hubei). After finding themselves in the middle of the storm in the area of the country hardest hit by the Coronavirus, in recent days, they have returned to work, with very active demand from their internal market.

Thank you for your understanding and trust.

Together we will return stronger than before.
