Mojave Energy Systems Secures UL Certification for ArctiDry HVAC Product

Mojave Energy Systems has announced that its ArctiDry product has received UL 60335-2-40 certification from Intertek, confirming compliance with safety and reliability standards for commercial HVAC applications. The certification underscores Mojave’s focus on delivering energy-efficient air conditioning solutions.

UL 60335-2-40 is a widely recognized safety standard for electrical appliances, ensuring compliance with rigorous design and manufacturing requirements. The certification applies to Mojave’s production facility in Anderson, SC, and allows the company’s products to carry the ETL certification mark. Additionally, Mojave’s HVAC solutions are approved for use with A2L refrigerants.

"UL listing by Intertek is an important seal of safety in the HVAC industry, and we are proud to hold this certification," said Aaron Meles, Vice President of Product at Mojave Energy Systems. "ArctiDry is a modern liquid desiccant DOAS, designed with the highest levels of safety, performance, and reliability, while delivering unprecedented energy efficiency benefits."

ArctiDry is a patented, liquid desiccant-based HVAC system designed for energy savings and humidity control. With an ISMRE2 efficiency rating of up to 11 lbs/kWh, it reduces electricity consumption by up to 50%. The product is certified for use with R-454B, a refrigerant with a global warming potential (GWP) of 466 - 77% lower than R-410A - aligning with the EPA’s 2025 hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) phase-down requirements.

Designed to efficiently dehumidify without overcooling, ArctiDry is suited for various commercial applications, including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and education.
