Nordic Climate Group has expanded its presence in the Netherlands with the acquisition of Huijbregts Koeltechniek, a refrigeration and climate solutions provider based in Breda. The move aligns with the Group’s strategy to strengthen its expertise in natural refrigerants and sustainable cooling technologies.
Founded in 2002, Huijbregts Koeltechniek is owned by Tom and Rob Huijbregts and employs around 20 people. The company reports annual revenues of approximately EUR 5 million. It specializes in the installation and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, with a strong focus on CO2-based solutions and a significant share of recurring service revenue. Its customer base spans industry, retail, agriculture, and the air conditioning sector across the southern Netherlands.
According to Erik Snijders, CEO of Nordic Climate Group in the Netherlands, “The acquisition of Huijbregts Koeltechniek, with its strong expertise in natural refrigerant installations, is a great step in our growth journey. The company’s high technical expertise, strong service mindset, and focus on sustainable solutions fit very well into Nordic Climate Group’s strategy for better climate impact.”
Tom and Rob Huijbregts will remain as shareholders in Nordic Climate Group and continue to lead the company’s development within the Group’s network. They stated, “We look forward to joining Nordic Climate Group and continuing our growth journey with a strong commitment to quality, service, and sustainable refrigeration and climate solutions.”
The acquisition supports Nordic Climate Group’s broader strategy of consolidating local companies that share a focus on energy efficiency and environmentally responsible climate technologies.
