Vaillant Group Launches New Electronic Components Factory in Remscheid

The Vaillant Group has inaugurated a new factory for electronic components at its headquarters in Remscheid, Germany. The opening ceremony on November 20, 2024, was attended by North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister-President Hendrik Wüst, Remscheid's Lord Mayor Burkhard Mast-Weisz, and key representatives from the Vaillant Group management board. This new facility plays a crucial role in the company's international network, supplying essential electronic components for advanced heat pump systems and gas heating appliances globally.

The factory boasts a production capacity of approximately 5 million electronic components annually, with the flexibility to increase output in response to market demands. This expansion addresses the growing need for electronic components linked to the company's strategic focus on the heat pump sector. The in-house production capability ensures Vaillant can swiftly adapt to changes in demand.

Constructed in under two years, the facility spans 12,000 square meters, strategically placed near the company's headquarters and R&D center. Emphasizing sustainability, the factory integrates a photovoltaic system and an innovative heat pump for renewable energy use, employing around 150 skilled workers in its operations.

Hendrik Wüst highlighted the investment's significance for North Rhine-Westphalia's economy, praising Vaillant's blend of tradition and innovation over its 150-year history. He emphasized that the new plant enhances regional economic resilience and supports sustainable growth.

Vaillant Group CEO Dr.-Ing. Norbert Schiedeck remarked that the expansion aligns with the company's long-term strategy to lead in the European heat pump market, complementing its status as a global leader in gas-fired heating appliances. Investments in production and heat pump development are pivotal in Vaillant's transformation and growth, maintaining its position among Europe's top heat pump suppliers.
